Stay Tuned for Upcoming News on the next 4E Workshop!
The First 4E Workshop was Absolutely Fabulous!
The BodyFlow Workout had all of us stretching and feeling muscles that had not been actively used in a while! While we were recovering from the workout, we discussed and went over a list of 10 Practical Tips on Eating Healthy. These are very easy-to-follow!
We want to thank the Barshop Jewish Community Center, particularly Lauren and Angela, for working with us and being very supportive of the 4E Workshop. A Great Facility and Staff! They warmly welcomed us!
I can honestly say… Everyone who participated in the First 4E Workshop gave it a Big Thumbs UP!
We are now planning the second 4E Workshop. Will Keep You Posted.
Workshop #1: Health and Wellness… Completed
Y’all come join us for a 2-part health & wellness workshop including both an exercise and nutrition component. The first portion of the class will include a BODYFLOW™ workout.
BODYFLOW™ is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
A typical class
Each class is made up of 45 minutes of simple but challenging exercises, followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and meditation.
1 You will begin with easy, flowing Tai Chi moves to leave your day behind, center yourself and warm your body.
2 The instructor will then take you through various yoga and pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your key muscle groups. Poses and stretches are used to create suppleness and flexibility.
3 The final 10 minutes are set aside for the widely acknowledged mental and physiological benefits of meditation which also enhances the effects of the exercise.
After the workout, the group will break for a quick healthy snack and move into the nutrition segment of the program, which will focus on 10 changes anyone can make to their diet to improve their general health and well-being, help prevent chronic disease, and help maintain a healthy weight for your body.
And, y’all, there will be group breakouts to talk about the biggest obstacles we face that prevent use from leading a healthy lifestyle. We will wrap up with talking about a plan to get started and setting goals to keep you on track.
Date: Sunday, October 23rd
Where: Barshop Jewish Community Center (JCC), 12500 NW Military Hwy (the corner of NW Military & Wurzbach Parkway)
When: 1pm to 3pm.
There’s a small fee to cover the costs of this workshop — $10. This will be participative and fun!
So, come on, y’all!! Don’t wait for the new year! This workshop will help get you on the path for a new you!
