A little bit of history… The Evolution of Newton’s News
Newton’s News had its origins in 2006 as an email announcement regarding a monthly event for professional lesbians in the San Antonio area. The email list grew quickly. Within 18 months, the email format morphed into a newsletter; and, soon thereafter, the newsletter had an official name bestowed upon it… Newton’s News.
Newton’s News’ unstated mission has been to provide timely information about events and happenings that are of particular interest to the lesbians of our community. It once again morphed into something grander to include events, fundraisers, and happenings that may be of interest to the LGBT community. Now we have traveled up the IH-35 Corridor to include the Austin area and places in-between.
So, our updated mission is to provide timely information about events, happenings, fundraisers, and activities in the LGBT communities in South Texas. By doing so, we are connecting and supporting our LGBT communities.
